Composition of Teacher Selection Panels

Pursuant to DEC policy, the CHS P&C Association will be invited to participate in each Teacher Selection Panel convened at CHS. If the Association wishes to participate, it must nominate its representative within 10 working days.

The nominated parent representative must be a financial member of the P&C Association and endorsed by the president.

Training for Selection Panel Nominees

All Selection Panel members must be trained in selection procedures. The training package is available at https://education.nsw.gov.au/about-us/careers-at-education/employment-opportunities/participate-on-a-selection-panel.

P&C Association members who may be interested in participating in future teacher Selection Panel opportunities are encouraged to complete the DEC online training. Once your individual online training is completed, please notify the secretary for inclusion on the P&C List of Selection Panel Nominees.

The CHS Principal (or Director, Public Schools NSW) must arrange for any untrained panel member to be provided with training. DEC will monitor training of Selection Panel members.
