Interactive Whiteboards

iwbIn 2012, $50 000 of contributions to the P&C Building Fund was given to the school to purchase and install Interactive Whiteboards.

Of the 54 classrooms in the school, 44 now have an IWB, each with a dedicated computer attached. There are only 10 more rooms to fit out, and this is where some of the P&C Building Fund contributions will go for 2013.

In 2012 the P&C came to a partnership agreement with the school with the aim of improving the integration of technology into teaching and learning. The P&C pledged funds to purchase Interactive Whiteboards so that all classrooms would have one. This will give teachers the assurance that they will have access to an IWB no matter which classroom they are assigned to, enabling planning of lessons integrating technology, and good outcomes for teaching and learning.

If you have not made a contribution to the P&C this year and would like to, please click here to print the contributions form and return it with your payment to the school office. All building fund donations are tax deductible.

Update: 9 April 2013. Funds have been provided to the school to complete the classroom fitout of interactive whiteboards. From term 2 2013, all classrooms will have an interactive whiteboard.
