Lunar New Year Celebration 2015 Update

Monday 23rd February 2015, 11.00 am to 2.00 pm

Preparations are in full swing for the Lunar New Year Celebration. Sharine Lee has gathered an enthusiastic group of volunteers to make this event a great success for CHS and IEC students. Please contact Sharine if you would like to get involved - .

LNY Poster screenshot In this Event, we will be having 7 different types of Food and Drink Stalls:

  • South East Asian 1 (Rice and Dishes)
  • South East Asian 2 (Noodles)
  • Korean
  • Japanese
  • Indian
  • Aussie BBQ
  • International Sweets

We are still seeking a few more volunteers for the Korean Food Stall, Indian Food Stall, the Aussie BBQ Food Stall and the Drink stall to join us.

Beside the Food Stalls, there will be free activities such as Calligraphy, Chinese Paper cutting, Chinese Yo-yo (Che-ling), Chinese Chess, Chinese Abacus and videos showcasing Chinese culture and music and LION DANCE.

This event is for all students (CHS and IEC), teachers and parents - so please put this date in your diary and join us in celebrating this cultural day at CHS and support our multicultural school community.
