Canteen Staff and Volunteers Christmas Dinner

With another term of preparing lunches and serving students and staff behind them, some of our canteen workers and volunteers enjoyed a night out at the Thai Naan restaurant in Chatswood. According to Canteen Manager Maureen, it was a great opportunity to get together socially without aprons or utensils and celebrate a very successful year.

However, it was also a sad occasion as they said farewell to Kaori, who after three years as chief chef is returning to her home in Japan. Kaori will always be remembered for her delicious daily specials and big smile. She came to Chatswood High with very little English but through her warm and friendly nature was able to learn quickly which was shown by her farewell speech scoring a 10 out of 10 by Maureen.
